Turf Health and Fertilizer

Blue Ribbon offers a five or six round treatment program that includes: In April we apply a liquid fertilizer which contains an organic blend with annual grass pre-emergent and weed control.  In June, we apply a broad-spectrum weed control, as well as a mixture of iron, trace nutrients and additional potassium to help turf sustain the upcoming heat.  At  a separate application a preventative billbug application is applied to keep your turf free from grub damage.  In August we apply a slow-release granular fertilizer.  In October we apply our winterizing fertilizer at a higher rate to develop roots and promote spring green up. In November we offer an application which has an elemental sulfur and Chelated iron that lowers the soils PH, benefiting the grass and the plants.
