PRICE GUARANTEE
The Blue Ribbon Price Guarantee means you can always feel good about the price you pay for the services you receive. It’s one of the reasons our business continues to grow by client referrals.

We are certified technicians, with over 45 years combined experience, and we’re obsessed with delivering maximum value to our customers everyday. We hold the line on price increases, even when others don’t.

We always charge a fair price for the services we provide, and continuously do the little extras that separate us from the rest. And if there is ever a problem of any kind, or a question about your bill, we’re always just a phone call or email away.


SERVICE GUARANTEE
The Blue Ribbon Service Guarantee is the philosophy we work under, and the mandate of integrity that has kept us in business for over a decade here in the Treasure Valley.

We work relentlessly to deliver to you, our customer, the highest quality of service with the best possible results. If there is ever a problem of any kind, we’ll make it right — we’re always just a phone call away.

Softscapes: Our softscapes, including the  health of any installed trees and plants, are guaranteed for a full year … that’s longer than our competitors. And if we are the ones maintaining your landscape as well, we will extend this guarantee; that is, if anything you have us install and maintain has any issues, we repair or replace for free.

Hardscapes: We guarantee our hardscapes (pavers, patios, construction, etc.) for 2 years … again, this is longer than most our competitors.

Plants
Contractor will offer at his sole discretion a one-time only replacement of any tree, shrub, evergreen or woody vine that has died within one (1) year from the date of installation provided the plant has been cared for as instructed, and not misused. Contractor will not replace plants killed by animals, rodents, insects, mechanical damage, neglect, natural disasters or other reasons over which Contractor has no control. Once installed, Contractor has no control over weather, watering or other cultural practices of Owner. Contractor will not warranty plants provided or installed by any party other than Contractor.

This warranty does not cover annuals, small perennials, ground covers, wildflowers, seeds, bulbs, roses and non-winter hardy plants. Any plant transplanted from Owner’s property is also not warranted. Contractor’s warranty covers plant materials only. An additional “usual and customary” labor charge for plant removal and re-installation will apply. Any repairs/replacements made to any installation after expiration of the warranty will be made at Owner’s expense. Repairs or alterations made to any Blue Ribbon installation by any party other than Blue Ribbon voids any warranties offered by Blue Ribbon.

Turf Installation
Contractor installs Turf according to common industry practices, using quality grass seed or sod, applied at a rate of at least that of the manufacturer’s recommendation. It is the responsibility of the Owner to ensure that rough grades have been established according to municipal drainage plans and within 2” of finished grade. Once installed, Contractor has no control over weather, watering or other cultural practices of Owner. As such, Contractor cannot guarantee the germination rate of seed, or general success of the seeding or sod. Repairs done on a seeding project are done at an additional investment amount of Owner. Contractor will not accept responsibility for settling due to new construction, utility lines or any other construction not performed by or supervised by Contractor.

Irrigation
Contractor warrants that the irrigation system will be free from defect in workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of the completion of the Agreement, provided the installation was used as was intended and in accordance with the original design. Repairs or replacements made to Contractor’s installation by any party other than Contractor voids all warranties offered by Contractor. Repairs or replacements made to any installation after expiration of the warranty period will be made at Owner’s expense.

Contractor will service a two (2) year Manufacturer’s warranty on all sprinkler heads, a three (3) year Manufacturer’s warranty on all time clocks, provided the installation was used as was originally intended and was not subject to misuse. Any repairs made to any installation by any party other than Contractor voids this service agreement. Any repairs/replacements made to any installation after expiration of the warranty will be made at Owner’s expense. This service warranty is subject to Manufacturers’ authorization and may change at any time.

Irrigation Winterization
Freeze damage on irrigation systems winterized by Contractor is covered under warranty. Contractor must be notified of possible freeze damages as soon as it is discovered. If the irrigation damage is due to freezing on a system winterized by Contractor then the irrigation system will be repaired free of charge. Any repairs or alterations made to the irrigation system that the Contractor performed the winterization on by any party other than the Contractor voids all warranties offered by Contractor.

Freeze damage that occurs before winterization by Contractor is not covered under Contractor’s warranty, any repairs made will be at the cost of the Owner. Nelson Products of any kind are also not covered by Contractor warranty.

Hardscapes, Waterscapes
Contractor warrants that material used in this contract will be free from defect and the installation will be functional for a period of two (2) years from the date of completion of the Agreement, provided the installation was used as was intended when the Project was designed, and was not misused. Any repairs/replacements made to any installation after expiration of the warranty will be made at Owner’s expense. Any repairs made to any installation by any party other than Contractor voids all warranties offered by Contractor.

Fuel is a significant cost of business for landscape maintenance companies. To carry out services, Blue Ribbon uses approximately 12,000 gallons of fuel each year.

But unless fuel prices climb above $3 per gallon, we do not assess a fuel surcharge.

When gasoline or diesel costs rise above $3/gal, we assess a fuel surcharge as follows:

$3.00-$3.50 per gallon = 1.25% fuel surcharge
$3.51-$4.00 per gallon = 2.5% fuel surcharge
$4.01-$4.50 per gallon = 3.75% fuel surcharge
$4.51 per gallon or more = 5.0% fuel surcharge

Since many companies pass on fuel charges to their customers at a lower threshold than $3/gal, or even when gas prices fall below average, we can confidently say our policy is “at” or “better than” industry standards.

By setting the threshold of $3/gal, we are only recovering additional fuel costs, allowing us to keep our regular service price structure even in times when others are raising overall prices.

We know that fuel surcharges can be a toucy subject, so we monitor gas price averages and our fuel surcharge policy very carefully to make sure we are never giving the impression of “exploiting high gas prices.” If you’d like further information, please don’t hesitate to call  us: 208-466-5656.
